Catalog description

This course explores the conceptual and practical ideas of the impact of crises, disasters, and other trauma-causing events while gaining a basic understanding of emergency management systems and agencies across the community. Principles and strategies of crisis intervention with models for pre- and post-crisis planning are addressed as well as assessment methods, crisis treatment, and resources used in various traumatic crises and systemic trauma situations.
