Catalog description

This course explores critical contemporaneous issues impacting the social protection and advancement of disenfranchised populations in the United States and globally. Issues of equity impacting minority and economically disadvantaged populations, including gun violence, racial discrimination, gender equality, immigration, and more, through a lens of empowerment. Class activities will include lectures, equity mapping, and social justice and equity empowerment projects.
