Catalog description
An honors level introduction to the basic concepts relating to the study of social behavior and human groups. This honors level course includes investigation into the foundations of sociology including theoretical perspectives, research methodology, and the components of social structure. Social interaction, culture, and social inequality (including, but not limited to, race, gender, sex, and social class), and dimensions of social change will be examined. Students may not receive credit for both SOC-1 and SOC-1H. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
