A survey of the evolution of modern world history from the 16th century emergence of new global political, economic, social, and intellectual patterns, through the era of industrialization and imperialism, to the world wars of the 20th century and the present. Students may not receive credit for both HIS-2 and HIS-2H. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
