Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (EIFS)

Catalog description

An introduction to exterior insulation finish systems including terminology, definitions, specifications, and properties. It will deal with reinforcing mesh installation and the application of insulation board. Application methods and techniques for primers and finishes will be presented. Students will use the skills presented to complete an EIFS installation project as part of this course. 27.00 hours lecture and 18.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
