Catalog description

Presents both lifting theory and practical rigging methods and procedures. The design, characteristics, and safety working load of lifting hardware will be discussed. Rigging attachment procedures, lifting equipment, limits of operation, and communication practices will be covered. Upon successful completion, students will be issued United Brotherhood Of Carpenters (UBC) Rigging Qualification Cards. 27.00 hours lecture and 18.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
