Catalog description

Survey of the history of still photography from the discipline's inception to the present digital age. Explores the medium of photography as a form of visual communication in historical, socio-political, and cultural contexts. Topics include the evolution of photographic images, process, delivery, and meaning. Students develop visual literacy through verbal and written analyses. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
