Catalog description

Provides students with supervised paid or unpaid work experience in the field of accounting, designed to integrate classroom instruction with practical workplace training. For the first unit of credit, students complete 18 hours of professional learning and 36 hours of on-the-job experience. Each additional unit is earned through 54 hours of supervised paid or unpaid work experience at an approved job site, up to a maximum of 14 units. Professional learning emphasizes career readiness, workplace communication, and ethical practices, while the work-site component provides hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and other accounting functions. 54.00 to 756.00 hours laboratory.
