Catalog description

Course Description: This course focuses on the correct use of English grammar, punctuation and spelling as well as reading for understanding and retention. The English Lab course is for learners with Accuplacer testing scores within the designated range. The purpose of this course is to prepare learners for college-level English courses at Nightingale College. Topics covered are grammar, punctuation, spelling, reading comprehension, basic use of APA, and reading practice. This is a non-credit bearing course. Learners who wish to optionally enroll in this pass/fail zero credit course may contact [email protected]. Note: This course is not a required part of any academic program; is not college level; is not Title IV eligible; is not transferrable to another institution; is not part of any institutional or programmatic accreditation grant; and is offered as a means of preparation for college-level English courses, with pass/fail grading.
