This course in speech is designed to develop each learner's ability to communicate effectively in their academic, business, and personal lives. The course covers an overview of various models of communication, alongside discussion of the benefits and elements of effective communication processes. The course will discuss both verbal and nonverbal communication, emphasizing development and presentation of a variety of speech types including informative, persuasive, and special occasion.
