Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to aid nurses in making decisions, using ethical, political, legal, cultural, spiritual, clinical, and other considerations as part of the decision-making process. The course will emphasize ethical decision-making in nursing practice. Nurses are required to make decisions in every aspect of practice, and need to have a foundation of knowledge, values, and ethics which will promote client-centered care in multiple nursing settings. An accurate understanding of policy and ethics in the decision-making process is vital for every practicing nurse.
