Students will examine theories and modalities frequently used in the helping profession, with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusivity. A key focus will be on understanding and addressing the special needs of diverse populations, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds. Students will learn how to encourage positive change by recognizing and overcoming systemic barriers that different populations face.
