Catalog description

The fundamental concepts of wireless networks, physical layer (air interface) issues and cell planning are introduced. Access technologies, including FDMA, TDMA and CDMA, in Cellular Systems, first Generation Cellular Systems (AMPS), and second Generation Digital Systems are also discussed. The course concludes with coverage of paging systems and satellite communications. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: TELE 110 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
