Catalog description

An overview of the fundamentals of the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and broadband ISDNarchitecture and protocols is presented. The Signaling System 7 (SS7) network structure and architecture is described. Packet switching, Frame Relay and the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) are introduced and compared. Network Management, an introduction to the Internet and traffic engineering are also covered. Prerequisite Course(s): Co-requisite: TELE 210 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
