Catalog description

In this second course on Electricity and Magnetism, students apply the fundamentals learned in Electricity and Magnetism I and deepen their understanding of electric and magnetic fields using the potential formalism and the special theory of relativity. Applications will include the propagation of electromagnetic waves in vacuum and in media, waveguides, and radiation by accelerating charges. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisites: PHYS 371 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 0-3-3
