Clinical Education II

Catalog description

This second clinical education experience is an 8-week clinical experience that allows the students to continue to build their knowledge and skills in preparation as entry-level physical therapists. By the end of the experience, the student should be able to deliver quality care with supervision from their clinical instructor when treating familiar patients and guidance with complex patients. The student is evaluated at the midterm and in the final week of the experience using the Clinical Internship Evaluation Tool (CIET). Reflective journaling, a professional service contribution, and completion of the CIET self-assessment at mid-term and final are required. This course entails 320 hours of supervised clinical practice by a licensed physical therapist.
