This seminar is a prerequisite to the second clinical experience and explores ethical issues, legal considerations, and professional responsibilities in healthcare. Students will engage in discussion regarding cultural humility, bias, and disability awareness. The course also covers topics including billing and coding practices, grief and loss, and professional advocacy. The course requires participation using clinical reasoning skills to manage conflicts that can arise in the clinical environment.
