Catalog description
This course introduces physician assistant students to the mechanisms by which disruptions in normal physiology lead to disease. Emphasis is placed on the molecular, genetic, and cellular basis of pathologic processes and their clinical manifestations. Students will explore how altered homeostatic regulation contributes to disease development and progression, building a foundation for clinical reasoning and application in future coursework. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisites: PHAS 602, Matriculation in MSPA program.
