Promoting Health, Well-Being & Quality of Life for People with Disabilities

Catalog description

This course prepares students to actively engage in comprehensive and in-depth scholarly activities through the study and application of strategies for promoting health, well-being and quality of life through appropriate assessment, intervention and community programming for people with disabilities. Students will discuss disability in the context of health promotion. The medical and rehabilitation models used traditionally will be compared and contrasted with health promotion models of care.
