Context, Occupation & Task Analysis

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the concept of occupation and the role of occupation as the philosophical underpinning of the profession of occupational therapy. Context, occupation and task analysis are explored from the lens of how context shapes and influences occupational performance in the impact on health and well-being. The student will begin to analyze human activity for the purpose of facilitating occupational performance. Lecture, class discussions, readings, written and oral assignments, laboratory exercise and online discussions are used to facilitate learning.
