Catalog description

The Health Policy and Public Health Research Elective empowers 4th year medical students to explore and tackle meaningful health policy and public health topics of their choice. With the guidance of an experienced faculty mentor and regular interactive Zoom meetings, participants will gain the skills and support necessary for successful research endeavors, culminating in the potential for impactful presentations and publications. This elective is well-suited for both students with prior experience in health policy and public health research and those new to these fields. It serves as a gateway for students to make meaningful contributions in the realms of health policy and public health research, while also enhancing their scholarly portfolio for the impending residency matching process
