Catalog description
This 3-week clerkship experience is structured to enhance the learner's skills in a specialized area of Osteopathic Medical Practice. The focus of the rotation is a selected area of interest and/or skill development that will further prepare the student for the practice of Osteopathic Medicine. The specific learning objectives, to be constructed by the student and approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (or his/her designee), will be unique to the identified area of study, and are intended to build on the knowledge and skills acquired during previous clerkships. A designated faculty member will serve as preceptor and mentor for the clerkship. At the end of the rotation, the preceptor will complete, and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (or his/her designee) will review, a Final Performance Evaluation based upon the achievement of the identified learning objectives. 3 credits
