Focused Elective in Osteopathic Medical Care - I

Catalog description

This 1-week clerkship experience is structured to enhance the learner's skills in a specialized area of Osteopathic Medical Practice. The focus of the rotation is a selected area of interest and/or skill development that will further prepare the student fo~ the practice of Osteopathic Medicine. The specific learning objectives, to be constructed by the student and approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (or his/her designee), will be unique to the identified area of study, and are intended to build on the knowledge and skills acquired during previous clerkships. A designated faculty member will serve preceptor and mentor for the clerkship. At the end of the rotation, the preceptor will complete, and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (or his/her designee) will review, a Final Performance Evaluation based upon the achievement of the identified learning objectives.
