Ambulatory Women's Health

Catalog description

This four-week clerkship provides students with an opportunity to focus on the care of the female patient. The student will work side by side with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and medical professionals in an ambulatory care setting. Particular emphasis will be made in the issues unique to the female patient, breast health, and a comprehensive approach to care. Prevention, screening and treatment with exposure to community outreach, patient education, and supportive services will be highlighted.
