Pathology 4th Year Virtual Elective

Using the online free service of https://www.pathelective.com/ which was created by Co-founders Kamran M. Mirza, MD, PhD and Cullen M. Lilley, MS at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine, this course provides students with an introduction to the specialty of pathology. The course is self-directed and provides multiple modules in different categories of Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Digital and Molecular Pathology. Each module has lessons ranging from 1 to 10. Each lesson in a module has a pre and post assessment. Please refer to Appendix A for details. Certificates are generated from PathElective in order to track student progress on the rotation. All available lessons within the module will be completed and certificates submitted to the Course Director. Students will meet with the Course director for updates and progress on a weekly basis during this elective.
