Catalog description

This course is intended to provide students with a working knowledge of the basic concepts and methods of epidemiology. There is a focus on the acquisition and interpretation of information about disease occurrence, disease treatment and health behaviors. In this course, students will learn about the application of epidemiology to understanding the occurrence and control of public health conditions such as infectious diseases and chronic diseases. At the completion of this course, students will be expected to be able to understand basic epidemiological concepts and methods.
