Catalog description
The management of human resources takes place in a complex legal environment which places obligations and responsibilities on the employer and extends protections and rights to the employee. Federal and state requirements in Equal Employment Opportunity, employment standards, wages, job security, safety and health, workers' compensation and other benefits will be covered. Integration of such requirements into day-to-day management practices is emphasized. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: Take one course in each group: Group1 (LLAW 101 or LLAW 110) and Group 2 (MGMT 315 or HRMT 315 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
