Catalog description

In this course, students are introduced to fundamental aspects of network and Internet security. The focus of the course is on network-based threats, their detection, preventions and analysis, as well as the integration if the tools and techniques employed in this effort. The students learn topics including: authentication; email, IP, and wed security; security threats; malicious software; and firewalls. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: CSCI 345 or CSCI 370 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
