This course provides an organizational perspective on managing cybersecurity risks, emphasizing the alignment of security practices with business goals and regulatory requirements. Students will learn how to identify, assess, and mitigate risks through the lenses of governance, legal compliance, and industry-recognized frameworks. Key topics include enterprise risk management, cybersecurity governance, privacy laws, legal and regulatory considerations, incident response, and business continuity planning. The course examines widely recognized cybersecurity frameworks and standards, as well as key data protection and privacy regulations across different jurisdictions. Through case studies and applied analysis, students will evaluate cybersecurity strategies and develop the skills needed to effectively communicate risk to diverse stakeholders.
