Catalog description
This course focuses on technology entrepreneurs and their new ventures. It helps students to understand key aspects of entrepreneurship and the formation of new technology companies. Major topics include learning to identify and evaluate innovation opportunities, assessing an industry, conducting a market analysis, intellectual property strategies, the founding team, developing a business plan, understanding and managing risks, and financing a new venture. Students will learn how to assess the feasibility of a startup venture, as well as how to apply best practices for planning, launching, and managing new companies.
