Catalog description
Fundamentals of engineering probability and statistical analysis as applied to industrial problems: sample spaces, random variables, discrete and continuous distributions, sampling techniques and design of statistical investigations, Bayesian decision making. Emphasis is on the application of these ideas to the decision-making process, rather than pure theory. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: MATH 161 or MATH 170. Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
