Catalog description

This course examines the ethical challenges that occur with engagement in short-term global health activities. This course provides students an opportunity to explore the ethical and cultural issues encountered in global health experiences including scope of practice, personal safety, shared benefits, sustainability and health system capacity. This course also highlights and explores the global burden of disease, truth telling in the context of the community setting and other determinants of health often encountered in host communities.
