Catalog description
This course will cover basic probability calculations and statistical methods. Emphasis is on case studies that highlight data collection, sampling, analysis and presentation. Topics covered include probability distributions, descriptive statistics and displays, random sampling, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. A statistical software such as MATLAB or MyStatLab will be used for statistical analysis.
