Catalog description

In this course, we cover semiconductor theory, diodes, Zener diodes, rectifier circuits, filters, voltage regulators, special purpose diodes, Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) and Junction Field Effect Transistor (FET) fundamentals. BJT and FET configurations, biasing, AC models and voltage amplifiers, and small signal analysis. BJT power amplifier classification and analysis are also discussed. Laboratory work is correlated with the lectures. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: ETEC 110. Co-requisite: ETEC 120. Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-3-4
