Catalog description
An advanced course that focuses on the writing conventions expected of students in N. American colleges and universities. Students will learn to write thesis and topic sentences, transition, specific supporting details, introductory and concluding paragraphs. Students will learn research techniques including identifying reliable sources and discriminating between fact and opinion, and will practice writing a research paper. Throughout the semester, sentence structure and grammar rules will be stressed. Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 0-0-0
