Catalog description
This course will provide an integrated analytical and critical view of the greenhouse effect, climate change and the technologies required to mitigate its impact on the earth. The student will be required to analyze greenhouse gas emissions and the impact of climate change, including ecosystem diversity, health, food and water supply, sea level rise, economics and political instability. Analyzing the various technologies including fossil fuel conservation, end-use efficiencies and renewable fuels, coupled with major policy decisions, the student will be capable of developing major technology and policy adaptation plans.
