Catalog description

Candidates explore strategies for serving special needs students within a secondary education setting. Emphasis is placed on understanding the diverse needs of students with disabilities, learning differences, and other exceptionalities, as well as exploring evidence-based practices for effectively supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Through readings, discussions, case studies, and practical applications, candidates develop knowledge and skills to create inclusive learning environments and individualized instructional plans that promote success for all students.
