Teacher candidates examine the unique developmental characteristics, learning processes, and socio-emotional needs of adolescents. Candidates explore theories of adolescent development, educational psychology, restorative discipline, and instructional strategies to enhance adolescent learning and well-being. Candidates develop a comprehensive understanding of adolescent motivation and formulate practical strategies to foster positive learning environments conducive to academic success of their students.
