Teacher candidates are introduced to fundamental theories, principles, and practices that underpin the field of education. Through an exploration of historical, philosophical, sociological, and psychological perspectives, candidates examine the complexities and dynamics of the American educational system. Through primary source literature and digital artifacts, candidates also explore the impacts of instructional technology within education, corporate, personal, and societal contexts. These explorations lead candidates to development of their own personal teaching philosophy and creation of a professional portfolio.
