Catalog description

The basic concepts of the theory of computation are studied including set theory, finite automata, context free and context-sensitive languages, Turing machines, Church's thesis, and uncomputability. The classes of computation complexity and their practical limitations are studied. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: CSCI 235 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
