Catalog description
The course introduces students to the modeling and design of fundamental digital circuits. Topics cover introduction to binary numbering, Boolean algebra, combinatorial and sequential logic circuits and memory elements (e.g. ROM, RAM and non-volatile computer memory). VHDL will be used in modeling, simulation and synthesis of digital circuits. Classroom Hours- Laboratory and/or Studio Hours- Course Credits: 3-0-3 Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: MATH 136 or MATH 141 or MATH 170.
