Catalog description
This course is devoted to the examination of the function and practices of modern police. Emphasis is placed on the detailed analysis of police practices and administrative decision making and how this impacts public safety and security. Critical issues shaping modern police practices including patrol practices, police discretion and police use of force will be examined in detail. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: CRIM 101 and CRIM 111 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
