Catalog description

This course will examine the intersection between law enforcement and ethnic/minority communities both nationally and internationally. Emphasis will be placed on exploring how these communities experience policing and the impact this has on issues of trust, cooperation, and community empowerment. Throughout the course, students will explore the role of community policing in modern law enforcement practices Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: CRIM 101 and CRIM 111 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
