Catalog description
This course will introduce students to modern methods of disease epidemiology. Topics covered include measures of disease prevalence and incidence, disease mortality and survival, interpretation of diagnostic tests, the measurement of disease risk, and the design of epidemiological studies. An emphasis will be placed on practical data analysis in the statistical program R. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisites: BIOL 250, BIOL 233, MATH 170 Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
