Catalog description
This course will provide an introduction into the realm of recombinant DNA technology. This laboratory course will focus on the purification, manipulation and analysis of nucleic acids, restriction enzyme digestion and mapping, gel electrophoresis (agarose and polyacrylamide), ligations and cloning, bacterial transformation, colony screening, protein expression and chromatography, western blotting and the polymerase chain reaction.
