Material Tectonics II

Catalog description

This course is a continuation of Material Tectonics I, and develops research and design skills in the uses of materials and material practices in the design, construction and performance of architectural projects. Students develop and experiment with the composition and performance of systems based on the module designed in Material Tectonics I. This course culminates in the crafting and fabrication of scaled building component elements, their combinations and assemblies. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisites: ARCH 704 Corequisites: ARCH 705
