Modern Construction Technologies Practicum

Catalog description

In this course, within the context of the 24-28-week SoAD Summer to Fall Practicum OPTION, attending during full time employment within the context of a professional architecture office under the instruction of a designated legally registered architect, students will study the history, development, theories and application of modern technological developments in construction methods and techniques. The latest innovations in the means and methods of construction will be explored, including their relationship to the AEC industry, and impacts on society, and the physical and natural environment. Projects related to the partnering architecture and/or construction management office will be studied and engaged. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisites: ARCH 202, AAID 240, ARCH 327. Corequisites: For students accepted and enrolled in the BSAT CM Concentration Practicum: ARCH 423P, ARCH 472P, ARCH 481P Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 0-0-3
