Catalog description

This course teaches practical application of the principles and techniques of copywriting to the preparation of advertising campaigns. It emphasizes the development of professional skills in writing effective copy for advertising to be displayed in digital formats on the internet, print, radio and film/television media. Each student is expected to develop all stages of preparation of the following: ad copy and layout for the internet and print, script for radio commercials with all necessary cues for sound effects and music, script and storyboard for a commercial to be produced on film or videotape. Required of advertising majors. Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
