The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the process and some of the major substantive issues in urban policy and politics in the United States, with some transnational contrasts. These include some of the basic issues of any political system: how cities function as part of a global urban network; the structure of decision-making, the allocation of resources and delivery of services. | Prerequisite: Completion of first year writing requirements. Note: Satisfies a HuSS elective
