Catalog description

This course provides students with a foundation for understanding and using social science research methods to study urban environments. In this course, students will gain an understanding of quantitative and qualitative approaches to social science research. They will be introduced to a range of data collection methods that are used to study urban environments and also t strategies for data analysis. The course will involve a group research project with a real world client, as well as lectures, discussions, a group presentation and paper, exams, readings and several assignments. | Prerequisites: Completion of first year writing requirements. Note: Satisfies a HuSS elective
